The Common Sense Statesman’s Pledge

 

Good afternoon, common sense Americans, this is Jim Morrow with the real www.commonsensecommentary.com.   No matter which politician you elect, he will not vote for your wishes unless he signs a pledge to do so.  Send this statesman’s pledge to everyone you can think of, and have their politicians sign, unless you want some more of the same politics after the midterm elections.

 

 

The healthcare debacle showed the entire world, congressional betrayal must be stopped! Instead of national Congressional and Presidential candidates asking the voters  to blindly support them, we need to have them show, that they will support us, common sense Americans, by signing this pledge:

If elected, I promise:

1.  to cut taxes and not vote for any new taxes except an income tax substitute. 

2.  to cut spending by requiring every program to prove a need of it’s existence, and proof of its efficiency and effectiveness yearly, and either cut its budget or cancel the program entirely. (especially foreign aid) 

3.  to balance the budget except in times of war(and congress must declare any police action, terrorist fighting or border security as war). 

4.  to scrap our income tax and and look at a fair replacement.

5.  to abolish phony accounting!

6.  to sign a “Read the bill act.” 

7.  to sign a “one bill at a time act.”

8.  To eliminate all monopolies except national defense, communications, and security.  Have a congressional committee have oversight and responsibility, where voters can point their fingers at the congressmen,  who let us down on these, and regulate  the “too big to fail” companies so they never happen again.

      9.  to kill “Cap and Trade” and fight any similar legislation. 

10.  to vote for Amendment 28: Any law congress passes applies to all congressmen as it does to private citizens.  No congressman will receive benefits not available to private citizens.

11.  that I have, and will use, common sense and Keep It Simple, Stupid fundamentals. 

12.  to test every new program on a small scale to see if will work efficiently.  

13.  to have constitutional scholars help decide if any proposed law would be constitutional before its passage. 

14.  to help any deserving student become a doctor to abolish doctor shortages and  give service to more areas at less cost. 

15. to remember that nothing that you can’t spell and understand, ever works.  I promise to approach everything that is considered by congress in a “common sense, keep it simple, stupid, manner( K.I.S.S.).

 

I understand that if I am elected and do not honor my pledge, that not only will I will probably lose re-election, every legal remedy will be used to rectify damage done by non-compliance.

How much Gold would you pay for your water?

Have you seen all the ads on TV about buying gold to protect yourself in case of disaster? There are people buying silver, diamonds, all kind of things that will hold or increase its value.

If there is a true disaster, a furthering of  the present drought, an attack on municipal water systems, or just continued global warming; demand for pure water prices are going to explode, because you can live for only about 3 days without clean water.   You won’t be able to drink that gold, no matter how much you have.  It is no prediction, but fact, Pure, clean water will someday be worth more than gold.

The commercial retail lot only is valued at $462,000.  The value of the  flow of trillions of dollars a year worth of water cannot be calculated until the water is actually sold and this is how fortunes are made.  At an auction like this, if you don’t have at least 2 visionaries bidding, it may sell for just what the actual physical retail lot is worth .

I am outraged over house speaker John Boehner’s remarks about the shooting of Arizona representative Giffords.  The shooting by this coward should be condemned, but not like Boehner did.  I support most of his views. However he said ‘An attack on one who serves is an attack on all who serve”.  To me, he was saying that the attack on a representative was an attack on all representatives of Congress as if it were the same as an attack on someone who really serves our country like our Army, National Guard, Air Force, Marines and Navy personnel.  He is equating a cesspool of bloated, bribery taking tax cheats, and lying, self serving upper social class (in their minds) with exorbitant salaries, and expense accounts, and who were made millionaires through election of the people’s offices.

  What an insult!   While our soldiers who really serve are losing limbs and lives and their families have to depend on welfare, some representatives fly all over the world at taxpayer expense,   they make special favors and exemptions for themselves and families from laws that apply to private citizens like Obamacare and others.   They enjoy free health care and a free taxpayer paid retirement system, while most private citizens have seen their retirement funds evaporate and have to live on below poverty Social Security and welfare.  Living in the lap of luxury and feeding on the public trogh is not serving!

 They have indoor swimming pools, bowling alleys, spas, barber shops, and even bureaucrats to actually draft and write the actual laws that the Representatives were sent there to personally compose and pass for their constituents.

 

 The majority of constituents want a fair income tax, a One Bill at a Time Act which would eliminate pork attached to any bill that is really important.  They want real border security laws with penalties to the administration for not enforcing them, to eliminate ineffective programs(most all of the federal), stop wasteful spending, balance the budget, and to be faithful and adhere to the Constitution of which you took the oath:  and nothing but the constitution, not a political party, administration, or special interest groups.

 

 The United States House of Representatives oath states that the representative will support and defend the Constitution and will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.  Instead, they let these bureaucrats prepare laws that are unconstitutional and exactly what their constituents are against, like Obamacare,  stimulus and bailout programs.   They propose more government, more spending, higher taxes, unlimited debt ceilings, pork-filled bills, homosexual, race and ethnicity favoritism in bills, environmental insaneness, and more foreign aid.

The most egregious failure of our present Congress is the lack of demanding that Obama prove the Constitution’s requirement that he is eligible to be the President.  If it is found he is not eligible to be President and if Congress or the Supreme Court does nothing about it, there will be a revolution in this country.

 If you think that won’t happen,; three years ago, you probably thought you would never see General Motors federalized, or see most of the houses and real estate lose 25 t0 50 %  of their value with millions and millions being foreclosed upon.  You and I couldn’t see the financial giants that caused the housing mess being  bailed out, or the federal government fining or putting you in prison if you don’t buy Obamacare, or see a President publically bribing Representatives and Senators  with pork, while exempting some  states of some of the requirements of Obamacare.

 

  Obama and some Congress members have proven they can crumble a once mighty nation into an impotent socialist third world in a few years. There are some Congressmen exceptions like Alabama’s Senators Shelby and Sessions and Representative Mike Rogers and other Republicans, but the majority is still destroying this country while they pretend to serve.

  Please forward this e-mail and my Statesmen’s promise to any of your friends (especially in other states) and let them know that we have not forgotten, just because Republicans have control of the Senate.   Until they are faithful to the Constitution, the Congressmen have not served and they aren’t to be equated with our brave warriors!

Good afternoon, common sense Americans, this is Jim Morrow with the real Common Sense Commentary.com.  I have produced a detailed written promise like Newt Gingrich and other conservatives signed before they were elected to take back the House.

Congressional betrayal must be stopped! Instead of national Congressional and Presidential candidates asking us, to blindly support them, they need to prove, that they will support us, common sense Americans, by signing this promise before they will get our vote.

 I will uphold my sworn oath to support and defend and bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution promising:

2.  to cut spending by requiring every program to prove a need of it’s existence, its efficiency and effectiveness yearly, and cancel unnecessary programs. (Especially foreign aid) 

3.  to balance the budget except in times of war,(and congress must declare any police action, terrorist fighting or border security as war), and set Social security and Medicare on a path to solvency.

4.  to  get out of the U.N., scrap our income tax with a fair replacement.

5.  to abolish phony accounting, and eliminate stimuluses and bailouts forever.

6.  to sign a “Read the bill act, to stop the bribery and other criminal acts in our government.” 

7.  to write plain language  bills themselves, not liberal bureaucrats and to sign a “one bill at a time act.”

8.  To eliminate all monopolies except national defense, communications, and security so the “too big to fail” banks never happen again. 

9. to vote for no amnesty bills and demand border enforcement, and  to vote for Amendment 28: Any law congress passes, applies to all congressmen as it does to private citizens. 

10.  to use, common sense and Keep It Simple Stupid.

12.  to determine if any proposed law is constitutional before its passage.

LITTLE GIRL ON A PLANE 

 

A congressman was seated next to a little girl on an airplane so he turned to her and said, “Do you want to talk?   Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.” 

 

The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the total stranger, “What would you want to talk about?” 

 

“Oh, I don’t know,” said the congressman.  ”How about global warming, universal health care, or stimulus packages?” as he smiled smugly.

 

“OK,” she said.  ”Those could be interesting topics but let me ask you a question first.  A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff – grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps.  Why do you suppose that is?”

 

The legislator, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence, thinks about it and says, “Hmmm, I have no idea.”

 

To which the little girl replies, “Do you really feel qualified to discuss global warming, universal health care, or the economy, when you don’t know shit?” 

 

And then she went back to reading her book.

80 congressmen socialists!

 

 

Good afternoon common sense Americans, this is Jim Morrow with  the real www.CommonSenseCommentary.com.   Here is a tidbit picked off the internet from World News Daily.   Where would we get the real news if it were not for the internet? 

  Did you know that there are over 80 members of Congress who are SELF- PROCLAIMED Socialists, Communists or Socialist Sympathizers?

Did you know that 70 of these members of Congress actually hold (or have held) membership in the Democratic Socialists of America… the American arm of Socialists International?

Did you know that 11 of the 20 standing committees in the House of Representatives are chaired by members of this radical group?

Did you know that up until the time she assumed the Office of Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi was the chairman of this group?

And did you know that, up until the time he assumed (some say usurped) the office of President of the United States, Barack Obama was a member of this radical group?

     It’s not a conspiracy theory… in fact, it’s not even an open secret. The plain and simple fact of the matter is that this radical group of Representatives and Senators have caucused openly in the United States Congress since 1991… but the Mainstream Media has never bothered to tell you about this group. 

Socialized Health Care… The Takeover (Nationalization) Of Major Sectors Of Our Economy… Out Of Control Spending… These Policies Are Not Simply The Result Of Incompetent Leadership… The Implementation Of These Policies Have Been In Works For Years.

     Remember when Democrats in the House and the Senate first proposed ObamaCare.  Did you ever stop to wonder how they were able to produce over 2,000 pages of legislation in a matter of days?

     And since they all admitted that they had not even read the legislation, did you ever stop to ask yourself who wrote it?

     The plain and simple truth is that they didn’t write it and they didn’t see the need to read it because it written long ago and was gathering dust in a desk drawer… waiting for the “right” people to assume the reins of power in Congress and in the Oval Office.

     Here’s an indisputable fact, back in 2005, this group of Congressmen and Senators produced a document which advocated the following positions:
 

The establishment of universal government provided health care.   The establishment of trade agreements that favor the rights of so-called foreign workers over Americans.   The legalization of so-called “same-sex marriage.”   The establishment of a cut-and-run strategy from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.   An increase in income tax rates and the establishment of wealth distribution policies by the federal government.

     This document is public record and we tell you all about it in this exclusive 16-page report.

    Why? Because, as you can readily see, many of these positions are being transformed into policy right before our very eyes.

     And as you can readily see, it is not just a coincidence that Congress started pushing for socialized health care, the government takeover of major sectors of our economy, the dismantling of our military and the legalization of so-called “same-sex marriage” once Democrats assumed power in 2006.

     These are not the policies of your father’s Democratic Party.  These policies were part of a long-held plan, and now, with one of their former members occupying the White House, this radical group believes it can change the world as we know it… even if they have to ram these changed down our throats.

     Of course, we (the American people) have the power to  stop them… but before we can stop them, we must know who they are… we must know their history… and we must know their agenda.

Imagine A World Where There Is No Opposition To The Radical Obama-Pelosi Agenda.

     We’ve often said that Americans voted for Barack Hussein Obama in spite of the fact that they knew very little about him… about his background… about his personal history.

     In fact, we know less about Barack Hussein Obama than just about any other man who has occupied the Oval Office… he’s almost a blank slate.

     But he’s not the only man of mystery out there. Truth be told, we also know very little about those who have taken the reins of power in Congress.

     Some have called Barack Hussein Obama a “Manchurian Candidate” but, truth be told, there are over 80 “Manchurian Candidates” in Congress at this very moment and those who have eyes to see and hears to hear should be very afraid.

     Like Barack Hussein Obama, these members of Congress are clearly dismissive of America’s Constitutional principles and obviously dislike the positive role America plays in the world. They dislike our Judeo-Christian heritage and detest America’s historical allies.

     The sad and unfortunate truth is that these radical individuals who occupy over half of the leadership positions in the House of Representatives lack the experience, the willingness and the temperament to guide America through the troubled times we presently face.

     And none of them has a worldview consistent with the values and principles espoused by our founding fathers or even consistent with the vast majority of Americans.

     In the past three years, these radical individuals have done a great deal of damage to our country. Some of the damage can be repaired… but we will never be able to repair the damage or put America back on the right course if people don’t have the facts.

All I can say is WOW!

Honest, But Maybe not Smart

 

 Good afternoon, common sense Americans, this is Jim Morrow with the real www.commonsensecommentary.com.  Our  house representative, Mike Rogers, met with the public Thursday afternoon at the Wagon Wheel restaurant in White Plains. 

Mike gave a typical talk about what the other guys were doing wrong, and to his credit, admitted that the Republicans had their share of responsibility.

He ran into a buzz-saw right off the bat when one of the first questions turned into  “I’m for voting them all out”!

Another question came from a guy who had a veterans cap on that said: I want to know that if the Republicans take the House and Senate in November, will you vote for  Obama’s impeachment?

Mike took the heretofore “safe” road and said that “I would have to look at the charges before committing.”  That would have been the correct answer before Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Obamacare, the open attempts  by Obama of bribing people not to run for office against Spector and others, attempted bribery for Illinois Governor to fill his old seat with his longtime advisor, Black Panthers cave-in, unprecedented cronyism, and the  high crimes of deliberately  lying to the public constantly!

It was evident and Mike admitted that the public is not asleep any more.  They want their representatives to act and do something even if is wrong, because the only way the public can get anything done is if their representative does it for them.

 These canned answers no longer hold water with today’s voter.  I think mike should have asked for a poll in the room of the people that think Obama’s actions rise need for impeachment.   In my opinion it would be near 100%.  I think that Mike should have said that if the Republicans have enough evidence to officially charge Obama, and if the majority of  my constituents agree, I would vote for impeachment. 

I think that is the least thing that the public would have accepted, because most of the people I talk to think that Mike should be leading the charge.

I had questions for Mike concerning Illegal immigration, but when he said that being on the Agriculture committee, that he knows and he is in favor of importing workers because the American public would not do some types of work “like pouring hot tar on roofs”, I vehemently disagree!

 When I was working my way through college I was one of those workers pouring hot tar on roofs in July for $1 an hour.  I had to do this because I did not get a federal loan as Obama supposedly did under the foreign aid program.  If you pay Americans a wage that would compete with the additional 20 percent that illegals get in food stamps, rent subsidies, child care, school and lunch programs, language and healthcare, there would not be a job in America open to illegals.

Mike, even though we disagree on some points, I think that you are our best choice now.  However, if you incumbents think that you have it made because of Obama’s blunders and go back to the same “do nothing” congress after you win in November, look out!  As you said today, the public is alive and awake  and will remember November of two years from now!

Noah’s Ark

Good afternoon, common sense Americans.  This is Jim Morrow with Common Sense Commentary.

I was sitting at my computer last night, preparing to write a commentary for today, when an E-mail came in.

This e-mail was not about politics or government, but it did contain in a short, brief message, what this commentary and our country should be addressing.

It contains common sense from a story we have all heard before, but it is presented in perhaps an easier to remember manner’

It really made my day and I think that it will help all of us remember that the common sense simple way is the best way.

Everything I need to know about life, I learned from Noah’s Ark.

1. Don’t miss the boat!
2. 2.  Remember that we are all in the same boat.
3. Plan ahead; it wasn’t raining when Noah built the Ark.
4. Stay fit.  When you are 600 years old, someone might ask you to do something really big.
5. Don’t listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
6. Build your future on high ground.
7. For safety’s sake, travel in pairs.
8. Speed isn’t always an advantage’ The snails were aboard with the cheetahs.
9. When you’re stressed, float awhile.
10. Remember the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.
11. No matter what the storm; when you are with God, there’s always a rainbow

      waiting.

You know. It took me 45 years to learn to smell the roses.  Everyone needs to stop today’s frantic pace of doing things and smell the roses.  It’s not only good for your nose, but it’s good for your brain.

If we could get our politicians to slow down and smell the roses, they might realize that the simple, common sense approach to any problem is always the best.

These are the real Muslims

Good afternoon common sense Americans, this is Jim Morrow with the real www.commonsensecommentary.com. Someone sent me this e-mail and I think the entire commentary should be made of this since it is so important.

I heard Brigitte Gabriel on The FOX News Channel. Her story is one of courage as an Arab Christian. She experienced horrible suffering and torture for a number of years at the hands of radical Muslims. The torture started during her childhood and her family was targeted because they were Christian. She is a very vocal survivor, which puts her life in danger daily with the radicals. She is a advocate of moderate Muslims taking action against the radicals in their communities. It almost sounds like an impossible dream. But unfortunately there are not many options.

We gather here today to share information and knowledge. Intelligence is not merely cold hard data about numerical strength or armament or disposition of military forces. The most important element of intelligence has to be understanding the mindset and intention of the enemy. The West has been wallowing in a state of ignorance and denial for thirty years as Muslim extremist perpetrated evil against innocent victims in the name of Allah.

I was ten years old when my home exploded around me, burying me under the rubble and leaving me to drink my blood to survive, as the perpetrators shouted, ‘Allah Akbar!’ My only crime was that I was a Christian living in a Christian town. At 10 years old, I learned the meaning of the word ‘infidel.’

I had a crash course in survival. Not in the Girl Scouts, but in a bomb shelter where I lived for seven years in pitch darkness, freezing cold, drinking stale water and eating grass to live. At the age of 13, dressed in my burial clothes going to bed at night, waiting to be slaughtered. By the age of 20, I had buried most of my friends–killed by Muslims. We were not Americans living in New York , or Britons in London . We were Arab Christians living in Lebanon.

As a victim of Islamic terror, I was amazed when I saw Americans waking up on September 12, 2001, and asking themselves ‘Why do they hate us?’ The psychoanalyst experts were coming up with all sort of excuses as to what did we do to offend the Muslim World. But if America and the West were paying attention to the Middle East they would not have had to ask the question. Simply put, they hate us because we are defined in their eyes by one simple word: ‘infidels.’

Under the banner of Islam ‘la, ilaha illa Allah, muhammad
rasoulu Allah,’ (None is god except Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah) they murdered Jewish children in Israel, massacred Christians in Lebanon, killed Copts in Egypt, Assyrians in Syria, Hindus in India, and expelled almost 900,000 Jews from Muslim lands. We Middle Eastern infidels paid the price then. Now infidels worldwide are paying the price for indifference and shortsightedness.

Tolerating evil is a crime. Appeasing murderers doesn’t buy protection. It earns one disrespect and loathing in the enemy’s eyes. Yet apathy is the weapon by which the West is committing suicide. Political correctness forms the shackles around our ankles, by which Islamist’s are leading us to our demise.

America and the West are doomed to failure in this war unless they stand up and identify the real enemy: Islam. You hear about Cahaba and Salafi Islam as the only extreme form of Islam. All the other Muslims, supposedly, are wonderful moderates. Closer to the truth are the pictures of the irrational eruption of violence in reaction to the cartoons of Mohammed printed by a Danish newspaper. From burning embassies, to calls to butcher those who mock Islam, to warnings that the West be prepared for another holocaust, those pictures have given us a glimpse into the real face of the enemy. News pictures and video of these events represent a canvas of hate decorated by different nationalities who share one common ideology of hate, bigotry and intolerance derived from one source: authentic Islam. An Islam that is awakening from centuries of slumber to re-ignite its wrath against the infidel and dominate the world. An Islam which has declared ‘Intifada’ on the West.

America and the West can no longer afford to lay in their lazy state of ignorance. The consequences of this mental disease are starting to attack the body, and if they don’t take the necessary steps now to control it, death will be knocking soon. If you want to understand the nature of the enemy we face, visualize a tapestry of snakes. They slither and they hiss, and they would eat each other alive, but they will unite in a hideous mass to achieve their common goal of imposing Islam on the world.

This is the ugly face of the enemy we are fighting. We are fighting a powerful ideology that is capable of altering basic human instincts. An ideology that can turn a mother into a launching pad of death. A perfect example is a recently elected Hamas official in the Palestinian Territories who raves in heavenly joy about sending her three sons to death and offering the ones who are still alive for the cause. It is an ideology that is capable of offering highly educated individuals such as doctors and lawyers far more joy in attaining death than any respect and stature life in society is ever capable of giving them.

The United States has been a prime target for radical Islamic hatred and terror. Every Friday, mosques in the Middle East ring with shrill prayers and monotonous chants calling death, destruction and damnation down on America and its people. The radical Islamist deeds have been as vile as their words. Since the Iran hostage crisis, more than three thousand Americans have died in a terror campaign almost unprecedented in its calculated cruelty along with thousands of other citizens worldwide. Even the Nazis did not turn their own children into human bombs, and then rejoice at their deaths as well the deaths of their victims. This intentional, indiscriminate and wholesale murder of innocent American citizens is justified and glorified in the name of Islam.

America cannot effectively defend itself in this war unless and until the American people understand the nature of the enemy that we face. Even after 9/11 there are those who say that we must engage our terrorist enemies, that we must address their grievances. Their grievance is our freedom of religion. Their grievance is our freedom of speech. Their grievance is our democratic process where the rule of law comes from the voices of many not that of just one prophet. It is the respect we instill in our children towards all religions. It is the equality we grant each other as human beings sharing a planet and striving to make the world a better place for all humanity. Their grievance is the kindness and respect a man shows a woman, the justice we practice as equals under the law, and the mercy we grant our enemy. Their grievance cannot be answered by an apology for who or what we are.

Our mediocre attitude of not confronting Islamic forces of bigotry and hatred wherever they raised their ugly head in the last 30 years, has empowered and strengthened our enemy to launch a full scale attack on the very freedoms we cherish in their effort to impose their values and way of life on our civilization.

If we don’t wake up and challenge our Muslim community to take action against the terrorists within it, if we don’t believe in ourselves as Americans and in the standards we should hold every patriotic American to, we are going to pay a price for our delusion. For the sake of our children and our country, we must wake up and take action. In the face of a torrent of hateful invective and terrorist murder, America ‘s learning curve since the Iran hostage crisis is so shallow that it is almost flat. The longer we lay supine, the more difficult it will be to stand erect.

This is all coming true. A non-patriot is President of this great country. He has openly admitted his Muslim roots and his sympathy for all Muslims. How can this happen?? APATHY, that’s how!!! Send this around.
